Sorry for the bad picture, but can anyone tell me about this watch? It was given to my grandfather as a retirement gift about 20 years ago. Any idea what it's worth, or anything? I can't find the exact model

Take it to a watchmaker and have them open it up and look at the movement; that's the only way you'll be sure about when it's from (and what it's worth).
That being said, based on what I know about old Longines, that's probably not worth more than a few hundred bucks unless it's made of gold.

Unless it has melt value its not worth much, Since its quartz Im almost certain its a japanese movement which is very common.

That's a reasonably nice watch. New Longines range from about $1000 to $10,000, so they aren't exactly cheap. All the Longines watches of similar vintage I can find are anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars, so that's a good place to start. Take it to a professional watch sales/repair store and they will tell you more.
